Chinese Herbs for Hyperthyroidism
"Hyperthyroidism" — the full term, hyperactive thyroid function — is a Western disease name. Our country's medicine calls it rou-ying (flesh-goiter).
Main signs: thyroid enlargement, chest distress, palpitation, easy hunger with much eating, exophthalmos, heat intolerance and sweating, hair loss and diarrhea, hand tremor, thinning and weakness, irritability, low fever, insomnia, menstrual irregularity or amenorrhea, joint pain, red tongue, rapid pulse.
The Western drugs in wide use today — Tapazole and thiouracil — have significant toxicity and side effects, while effectiveness is relatively small. Hyperthyroid patients therefore look for a short, effective, simple, safe method.
Dr. Gao Yuchi, after over 20 years of research, treats hyperthyroidism with Chinese herbs, combining external compresses with oral medicine. He has treated nearly 5,000 patients with an overall effective rate of 98.7%, and a cured / nearly-cured rate of 75%.
One treatment cycle is 10 days. After about three cycles, roughly 50% of patients return to normal life and work. With sustained or early treatment, results are still higher.
