Qi-Huang, the Divine Physicians
Qi Bo
A medical man of high antiquity, by tradition a minister of the Yellow Emperor. He is said to have studied medicine under Jiu Daiji, a famed physician of Shennong's era.
In the Neijing he is addressed as Tian-shi ("Heavenly Teacher"). Because the Neijing is set chiefly in the form of question-and-answer between the Yellow Emperor (sovereign) and Qi Bo (minister), its sayings are often called "the words of Qi-Huang," and from this medical art itself came to be called "the art of Qi-Huang" — Qi-Huang in the end serving as a metonym for Chinese medicine.
