Chinese Medicine Has Become a Hot Industry

The Forbes 2001 list of the top 100 wealthiest entrepreneurs in mainland China shows that the hottest sector is real estate, followed by pharmaceuticals (mainly Chinese medicine), investment, and building materials. Eleven Chinese-medicine firms made the list:

No. 8 Wu Yijian, Jinhua Group, 4.0 billion RMB; No. 10 Zhang Simin, Haiwang Group, 3.5 billion RMB; No. 26 Li Yikui, Tonghua Group, 1.6 billion RMB; No. 30 Zhu Baoguo, Taitai Group, 1.42 billion RMB; No. 32 Li Jinyuan, Tianshi Group, 1.25 billion RMB; No. 40 Yan Junjie and Zhang Can, Da'in Group, 1.1 billion RMB; No. 57 Zhai Jiahua, Huaye Group, 850 million RMB; No. 69 Hou Lihua, Zhengzhong Group, 730 million RMB; No. 81 Guo Guangchang, Fosun Group, 600 million RMB; No. 87 Wang Xueli, Delide Group, 600 million RMB; No. 89 Pu Chaowen, Changshou Changle Group, 600 million RMB.
