State Administration of TCM Fully Launches Work to Systematize and Study Clinical Diagnostic-Therapeutic Techniques
TCM clinical medicine is a strongly practice-based science. In diagnosis, prevention, and treatment it has amassed rich experience and shown notable efficacy. But because many clinical diagnostic methods, protocols, and techniques have lacked systematic and standardized study, their wider use and international exchange have been held back.
The State Administration of TCM has just held in Beijing a research conference on systematizing and studying TCM clinical diagnostic-therapeutic techniques. The project aims, through systematic organization and rigorous technical-standards research, to bring out a batch of clinical diagnostic-therapeutic techniques at domestic or international leading level, with distinctive TCM features and therapeutic strengths — and thus to raise TCM clinical efficacy, perfect the TCM clinical-research system, and train a TCM clinical-research team.
